Blowing Bubbles

January went by quickly, but was filled with excitement (at times). Peanut & Mama spent a full month together, & it wasn't too shabby. We spent our days in the house of course with reading books, cleaning ( Peanut's not much help yet), and playing with her toys. This month Adilynn has accomplished eating many different types of fruits & veggies, some are more appetizing to her than others. She has also begun to sit up on her own. Some days she has more will to do so than others. If you sit something very interesting in front of her she will sit up on her own for about a minute and usually fall to her left side. Adilynn learned that she loves to blow bubbles, laugh hysterically, use funny sounds with her voice, and become extremely hyper right before bed which includes thrashing about on the diaper changing table & kicking her legs as fast as they go. Right before bed she looks like a motor boat about to take off of the diaper changing table (this also includes the appropriate sound affects with her voice). When daddy comes home from work he usually is the main attraction. If she is not napping she can spot daddy's voice wherever we are in the house. We go to him and she lights up as daddy bathes her in all sorts of attention. She also loves to give her daddy wet kisses on the cheek. I really think once she becomes independent of me she is history, & will become daddy's girl like her mama was.

This month we had a few adventures out in the cold. We took Adilynn to the Bass Pro Shop for the second time where she loved staring at their Aquarium. I am not sure if she was fascinated so much with the fish or the light dancing at the top of the water that really attracted her eyes. She just laid in her car seat & stared. She was really easy maintenance during this time. We also made a pit stop to Lowes on the way home where she loved the lighting section, again just laying in the car seat staring.

This month she also fell in love with her friend Kinsey. Adilynn is getting old enough where she really is paying attention to her now. Most of the time I have to keep Kinsey's limbs out of Adilynn's mouth & tell her she is not your baby doll. I am excited to watch this friendship grow. Kinsey just lays and stares at Adilynn. I believe she is thinking I will get you back for trying to eat me very soon Adilynn. Kinsey is exactly 3 months Adilynn's junior.

The family also took a visit to the Union Terminal Cincinnati Museum at the end of the month. We got there too late so we could not see everything; however we do have a year membership so we are fortunate to go back again. As a family we loved it. I love going through the cave, the glaciers, & through the small town. Daddy is obsessed with the mini mock village of Cincinnati. I think if he could he would never leave. Actually we almost left several times, and daddy had to go back to see one more thing. Adilynn loved it all. She stayed awake for almost 4 hours & did not eat for 4 hours without crying or complaining. This is huge for Adilynn because she usually eats every 2 1/2 with naps in between. She finally crashed in the mock village. After the museum we visited Daddy's work near Lunken Airport. Mama help clean up daddy's office and daddy showed Adilynn the company. Maybe one day she will be an engineer!

That wraps up our month.
